The author puts 3 different earthquakes side by side for an objective comparison: the Sichuan earthquake, the recent Italian L’Aquila earthquake, and the1995 Kobe earthquake. Based on these findings, the author proposes the most practical way forward for the victims, their families, and for the nation.
